Family Day at the Farm has been rescheduled for September 26th, 2015 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Due to the consistent rain we have received over the past 30 days, and the fact that rain is in the forecast for the next week, we are concerned our fields will be too wet to accommodate parking all of you safely.

Thus, we have decided to reschedule Family Day at the Farm to September 26th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We are very sorry for the change, but one thing we have learned through farming is we have no control on the weather, and in this case we believe you will have a better experience visiting us on a day that hopefully will be a bit drier.

Thanks so much for your support of our local family farm and we truly look forward to seeing you in September or sooner if you are able to join us for a tour.

Shatto Milk Company will be holding their 12th annual open house titled “Family Day at the Farm” on September 26th, 2015 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event will be to celebrate June as dairy month and to thank the entire Metropolitan region for their support of Shatto Milk Company, the areas true local family dairy farm. There will be something for everyone as visitors can:
Something for everyone: Something for everyone:

  • Tour the farm.
  • Pet the baby calves.
  • Milk a cow.
  • Learn how our milk is processed.
  • Enjoy a Hay Ride (weather permitting).
  • Enjoy free snacks (while supplies last).
  • Register for prizes.
  • Participate in games.
  • Sample Shatto products.
  • Visit our retail store.
  • Enjoy the country setting.

The event is free to all as the Shatto Family would like everyone to have the opportunity to have fun on the farm while also having the opportunity to learn how Shatto Milk gets from the cow to your local grocery store. Last year’s event brought more than 7,500 people to this local family farm and this year’s event will hopefully provide even more people with an opportunity to learn where their milk comes from.

More information call the farm at (816) 930-3862. Shatto Milk Company is located at 9406 N. Hwy 33, Osborn MO 64474. The farm is situated on Highway 33, 4 miles south of US 36 and 6 miles north of Missouri 116, accessible from both I-35 and I-29. A complete map is available on our website.

See you soon,
